PixelScrapper CU Blog Train – “Gift Giving”

Hi, and welcome to the November CU blog train! This month’s theme is “Gift Giving”, and I thought a little outside the paper and elements box to bring you this template for a sheet of printable gift tags. Just clip your papers or add elements to make a nice assortment of tags to go with your holiday kits, or use the base layout to create a set of tags to add to another kit. Font choices and wording are up to you; add to/from wording to the front, or add a seasonal sentiment and let your customers write to/from info on the back after they’ve printed the tags. You can even grab the tag groups off the sheet and use them as tag templates if you’d like, just don’t resell them or post them elsewhere for download, and be sure your final products are flattened.

Since PSE doesn’t allow users to edit layers within groups in a PSD, there’s a version with the layers outside of the groups (just using the groups as header labels to show where the next tag starts), and a grouped version for those who use Photoshop and other programs like PSP and GIMP which handle groups correctly. Each variant is available in both a letter and an A4 layout, so your customers can print on locally available cardstock.

The preview image was made by simply applying a few layer styles to the templates; I think it gives an idea of how easy it is to make them look good in just a few minutes, and of the variety in looks you can get by choosing different papers to clip to them. Imagine what else you could do if you were to replace elements with kit elements; the possibilities abound!
