Pixel Scrapper CU Blog Train – “Holiday Cheer”

It’s time once again for the Pixel Scrapper commercial-use blog train, and this month’s theme is Holiday Cheer.

I’ve got a 3-pack of cards for you this month. They’re sized at 5×7, so they’re a perfect standard greeting card size, or you could print your choice out and put it in a frame on your wall if you choose. I’ve included both a layered PSD and a transparent PNG version of each in the download, which you can get HERE or by clicking the image below:

I took a class recently on creating interlocking letterforms like these, and these cards made a perfect opportunity to put that new skill to work. While they’re certainly different from my usual style, I quite like the way they’ve turned out. Font pairing with these proved a bit of a challenge, but a simple block hand-lettering style or monoline italic script seem to be the most effective options. Something near square or wider makes a good contrast to these, if you’re looking for options.

Don’t forget to check out the rest of the blog train thread over at Pixel Scrapper so you can pick up the other contributions!
